FAQ:
What we feed our hogs: Our hogs are fed a custom made ration with a mineral profile that is specific to the needs of the pigs raised in our silvopasture (forested pasture). The predominant protein in our hog feed is field peas.
How our hogs are raised: Our hogs farrow crate free inside our specialized barn before piglets move out to the woods at roughly 8-10 weeks of age. They are then raised solely outside, enjoying all the bugs, roots, berries and fallen fruit from our orchards.
What is (and isn’t) in our sausages: Our sausages are made with nothing but spices. They are free of artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, sugars, soy, canola or nitrates.
Is our bacon uncured: Yes. We use celery salt in the brine process.
